Caution: To reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not remove cover. No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
Explanation of graphical symbols

The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the product.

The lightning with arrowhead symbol within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “Dangerous Voltage” within the products’ enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electrical shock to a person.
Important safety instructions
- Read and keep these instructions.
- Heed all warnings. / Follow all instructions.
- Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Ensure that the ventilation is not impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc. Ensure a minimum distance of 5 cm around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation
- Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wire blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
- Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
- Use only with cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
- Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
- Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally or has been dropped.
- The mains plug is used as a disconnect device and shall remain readily operable.
- Do not connect any output from the amplifier to any other amplifier’s output or any other voltage sources.
- Do not expose this apparatus to dripping or splashing and ensure that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, are placed on the apparatus. Do not use this apparatus near water.
- To avoid electrical shock, make sure that no conductive part of the loudspeaker wiring is exposed while the amplifier is operating. Do not connect loudspeakers with uninsulated terminals to the amplifier.
- Connect only to the proper mains voltage.
- This apparatus must be connected to a mains socket outlet with a protective earthing connection.
- Warning: Batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat /sunshine, fire or the like.
- Warning: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.
- Do not place naked flame sources, such as lighted candles on the apparatus.
- Use the apparatus only in moderate climates (not in tropical climates).
- CLASS I apparatus which is intended for connection to the building installation wiring via a plug or an appliance coupler, or both and in addition is intended for connection to other apparatus or a network shall, if safety relies on connection to protective earth or if surge suppressors are connected between the network TERMINALS and ACCESSIBLE parts, have a marking stating that the apparatus must be connected to an earthed MAINS socket-outlet.
- Take attention to the environmental aspects of battery disposal. Do not dispose of batteries in household waste.

1. Trigger in and out
In order to control the power state from another product (for example: pre-amplifiers or media players) with trigger control, the SDA-2400 is equipped with 3.5 mm mono mini jack sockets.
If there is a plug in the
Trigger Insocket with no voltage applied, the SDA-2400 is in standby mode.If a DC voltage of 5-24V or a 50Hz AC voltage of 4-17Vrms is applied, the SDA-2400 will go into Operate mode.
Trigger Outis for daisy-chaining other SDA-2400s and controlling them all by the same signal. Connect the control signal toTrigger Inon the first SDA-2400 and connect itsTrigger OuttoTrigger Inon each subsequent unit. When a trigger cable is used, the Power State must be set to “On”.
2. Power state
As the SDA-2400 has an extremely low power consumption in standby mode, there is no on/off switch on the front of the product. Instead, power is controlled automatically by the amplifier.
Set the Power State switch to “On” if you want the SDA-2400 to turn on/off by trigger control, or if you want to keep the SDA-2400 permanently on.
Set the Power State switch to
Low Powerif you want the SDA-2400 to turn on/off by a sound signal from the selected input. If no signal is detected for around 30 minutes, the amplifier will go into standby mode.
3-4. Analog unbalanced and balanced input
For connection to products with analog output, you may only connect to one input at a time. The input sockets are internally connected in parallel, so ALWAYS use EITHER the XLR inputs OR the phono inputs. Do not use both at the same time, as this will induce noise.
5-6. Coaxial input and optical input
For connection to products with digital output, Coaxial (SPDIF) and Optical (Toslink) inputs are available.
7. Input select
Set the selector to the input in use.
8. Loudspeaker connectors
Connect your speakers to Left and Right connectors. The connectors allow for use of banana plugs and bare wire up to 5mm2.
9. Voltage selector
The voltage selector must be in the position for your local mains supply.
10. Mains connector and switch
Be sure that the power cord is inserted firmly in the connector. The mains switch will remove the amplifier from your mains power.
Connection guide

When connecting the speakers, always connect + and - from the amplifier to the corresponding + and - terminals on the speaker.
Warning: Never run the SDA-2400 in so-called “bridge mode.” Bridging the speaker output terminals will damage the amplifier.
Never connect speaker cables to “high-level” inputs on a subwoofer, as this will damage the SDA-2400.
Cleaning and maintenance
The SDA-2400 does not require any regular maintenance except to keep its exterior clean. Simply wipe it with a clean, soft cloth. A small amount of non-abrasive cleaner on the cloth can be used to remove any dirt or fingerprints. Do not use abrasive cleaners or cleaners containing liquid solvents.
